The North Buncombe area also boasts a sophisticated art and writer’s community due to the proximity of nearby Mars Hill University and it’s Rural Heritage Museum

You have easy access to some of the most popular National Parks in the country. From Starview Heights, you can hike the Pisgah National Forest, drive along the Blue Ridge Parkway, camp in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park or the Cherokee National Forest – just over the mountains in Tennessee.
